چکیده
Abstract Background WD40 repeat (WDR)43 is an RNA-binding protein that belongs to the WDR domain family. Its biological function largely unclear, particularly in colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods In present study, we searched TCGA database and found correlation between WDR43 CRC. Subsequently, high expression of human clinical samples CRC was validated further examined functions it cells. Finally, explored potential downstream proteins or pathways established subcutaneous xenograft model verify our findings. Results Immunohistochemistry 16 patient specimens confirmed elevated knockdown shown increase apoptosis inhibit proliferation, migration invasion cells vitro reduce tumorigenesis animal models. addition, inhibited vimentin (VIM) overexpression VIM can partially reverse effects both vivo. Conclusion conclusion, role occurrence development investigated study. may serve as a valuable biomarker provide new options for diagnosis treatment cancer.

miR-506 inhibits cell proliferation and invasion by targeting TET family in colorectal cancer
Objective(s): Ten-eleven translocation (TET) family members have been shown to be involved in the development of many tumors. However, the biological role of the TET family and its mechanism of action in colorectal carcinogenesis and progression remain poorly understood. Materials and Methods:We measured the expression levels of TET family members in colorectal cancer (CRC) specimens, in the c...
متن کاملmiR-125a-3p/FUT5-FUT6 axis mediates colorectal cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion and pathological angiogenesis via PI3K-Akt pathway
The fucosyltransferase (FUT) family produces glycans, a fundamental event in several cancers, including colorectal cancer (CRC). miR-125a-3p is a non-coding RNA that can reduce cell proliferation and migration in cancer. In this study, we explored the levels of miR-125a-3p and FUT expression in human CRC tissues and two human CRC cell lines by qPCR. The results showed that miR-125a-3p, FUT5 and...
متن کاملMiRNA-203 suppresses cell proliferation, migration and invasion in colorectal cancer via targeting of EIF5A2
While it is known that miR-203 is frequently downregulated in many types of human cancer, little is known regarding its expression and functional role in colorectal cancer (CRC). In this study, we aimed to investigate the expression and the potential mechanisms of miR-203 in colorectal cancer. MiR-203 was significantly downregulated in CRC tissues compared with matched normal adjacent tissues. ...
متن کاملMicroRNA-30a Mediates Cell Migration and Invasion by Targeting Metadherin in Colorectal Cancer
MicroRNAs play critical roles in the occurrence and progression in various cancers including colorectal cancer. Here, we found that microRNA-30a expression was significantly downregulated in colorectal cancer tissues compared to adjacent noncancerous tissues, and the suppression levels of microRNA-30a were significantly associated with tumor differentiation and lymph node metastasis. We also di...
متن کاملCell-surface GRP78 facilitates colorectal cancer cell migration and invasion.
Glucose regulated protein 78 (GRP78) is predominantly located in the endoplasmic reticulum as a molecular chaperone. It has also been found on the membranes of some cancer cells, acting as a receptor for a wide variety of ligands. However, its presence on colorectal cancer (CRC) cell surface and its role in CRC metastatic progression remain elusive. Here we reported that GRP78 was predominantly...
